The playgroup is fortunate to have the use of a former school building, known as the Falcon Centre, also home to Wylam branch library and Wylam Railway museum. The Falcon Centre has recently undergone refurbishment including the installation of a brand new kitchen, disabled toilet and redecoration throughout.
The playgroup has a very large main room, a smaller side area, cloak room annex and dedicated childrens toilet facilities.
During good weather the children are able to play in our large secure playground with various toys and gardening features.
The playgroup has a large selection of toys that we regularly invest in updating or replacing, including toys to encourage role playing, creativity and interaction between the children. We also have a wide range of books, from picture books to stories and factual books, so that children can enjoy exploring books and begin to learn about reading.
The children are regularly involved in a wide variety of creative and artistic activities, including painting, paper crafts, model making and seasonal variations such as making Christmas cards, etc.
